Holiday Program At

Bellamy-Ferriday House

BETHLEHEM — The Bellamy & Ferriday House & Garden will be part of Bethlehem Christmas Town Festival’s celebration of its 25th silver anniversary on Friday, December 2, from 6 to 9 pm, and Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm.

The historic house museum will be decorated with a silver theme including tree ornaments made by Bethlehem Elementary School students and silver items from the museum’s collection. Guides will be available to give brief histories of two former owners, the Reverend Joseph Bellamy (1719-1790) and Caroline Woolsey Ferriday (1902-1990).

Children’s activities will include a scavenger hunt while touring the house and a free ornament making workshop in the servants’ kitchen.

Hot cider will also be served in the visitor’s center.

Luminaria lining the path from the green to the historic house will add to the festivities on Friday night.

Admission is $2 per adult or the donation of two canned food items and children are free. All canned goods collected will be donated to families in the Bethlehem community who can use a helping hand this holiday season.

The Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden, at 9 Main Street (Route 61), can be contacted at 203-266-7596.
