P. John Millo, 74, of Monroe, beloved and devoted husband of Joyce Jacques Millo, died November 18 at St Vincentâs Medical Center. Mr Millo was born in Bridgeport and was the son of John Joseph and Doris Del Vecchio Millo.
Survivors also include a sister, Rita Marie Millo of Newtown; one brother, Richard Millo of Seymour; his cherished children, two daughters, Joanne and her husband, Ali Manaee, of Milford and Kathy and her husband, Jerry Stevens, of Monroe; two sons, John J. Millo of Shelton and Jeff Millo and his wife, Faith, of Oxford; two brothers-in-law, William Brennan of Monroe and Hugo Provenzano of Shelton; eight cherished grandchildren, April and Jeffrey Millo, Amanda and Jared Stevens, Eve, Nicole, Christine, and Gregory Fournaris; one great-granddaughter, Cecilia Felix; and several nieces and nephews. Three sisters, Marianne Brennan, Doris Provenzano, and Diane Millo, predeceased him.
Mr Millo had a long and illustrious career. He was a retired past president for P. Millo & Son Supply Co. He served with pride, honor, and distinction as a retired major in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was an active member for the economic development committee for the town of Monroe, a past member of Monroe Democratic Town Committee, as well as a Justice of the Peace. He was a 22-year member of the Planning and Zoning committee.
Mr Millo was a charter member for the Knights of Columbus for the town. He served as a past cub master for Pack 163 for St Stephenâs Church and enjoyed coaching Little League and basketball in town. He was an avid Giants, Yankees, and Huskies fan.
Funeral services took place on November 23 in the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, Monroe, and in St Stephenâs Church, Trumbull, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
