South Main Crash
Police report southbound motorist Matthew Perachio, 23, of Monroe, who was driving a 1994 Ford about 3:30 pm November 24 on South Main Street, stopped for a line of traffic which was stopped at a traffic signal near Sand Hill Plaza and was then struck from behind by southbound motorist Mark W. Hydeck, 42, of 5 Pastorâs Walk, who was driving a 1996 Plymouth Voyager minivan.
There were no injuries. Police issued Hydeck a written warning for following too closely.
Three-Car DWI
Police report they made a drunken driving arrest following a three-car accident about 4 pm November 24 on South Main Street.
Motorist Kevin Siciliano, 40, of East Norwalk, who was driving a 1985 Toyota Tercel, hit the rear end of a 1981 Toyota Corolla driven by Israel R. Nieves, 47, of Bridgeport, pushing the Corolla into the rear end of a 1995 Honda Civic driven by Scott Francis Lechner, 16, of Danbury, police said. There were no injuries in the accident, police said.
On investigating the accident, police charged Siciliano with driving while intoxicated and following too closely. After processing, police released Siciliano for a December 7 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Theft From Vehicles
Police report that items were stolen from vehicles on two adjacent properties on Taunton Ridge Road sometime between 2 and 8 am on November 21.
Police said someone entered a 1999 Subaru Outback and took several items. The person also entered a 1991 Honda Civic parked next door and stole a car stereo, police said.
Police ask anyone with information about the incidents to contact them at 426-5841.
Four MV Charges
Police report they saw motorist James T. Hough, 44, of New Fairfield make a right turn from Mile Hill Road onto Berkshire Road from the âleft turnâ lane, and then follow another vehicle too closely down Berkshire Road, and then drive erratically about 10 pm November 28.
Police said they stopped Hough and gave him field sobriety tests, which he failed. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated, following too closely, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and disobeying a traffic sign.
After processing, police released Hough on bond for a court appearance November 29 in Danbury Superior Court.
Warrant Served
Police report they served a warrant November 27 against Allen Kellogg, 28, of 13 Ox Hill Road lodging charges of disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief in connection with a September incident. Police released Kellogg on a promise to appear November 29 in Danbury Superior Court.
Route 25 DWI
Police said they saw motorist Guy Poulin, 39, of 7 Waterview Drive, Sandy Hook, cross the center lines of Route 25 as he rounded a curve while southbound near the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps garage about 6 pm November 26.
Police said they stopped Poulin and gave him field sobriety tests which he failed. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated and failure to drive to the right on a curve. After processing, police released Poulin for a December 7 appearance in Danbury Superior.

Speeding Charge
Police report that while using radar near Sand Hill Plaza on South Main Street about 12:30 am November 28, they clocked motorist Domingos Dias, 30, of Bridgeport traveling 59 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone. Police charged Dias with speeding and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension. Police released Dias on bond for a December 9 court appearance.

Dodgingtown Accident
Motorist Joan D. Buch of 14 Crossbrook Road, who was driving a 1993 Buick Regal, pulled out from Karen Boulevard onto Route 302 and struck westbound motorist Daniel A. Latowicki of 8 Webster Place, who was driving a 1998 Subaru Legacy, about 12:30 pm November 24, police said. Police said the Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported Latowicki to Danbury Hospital for treatment. Police issued Buch an infraction ticket on a charge of failure to obey a stop sign.
Milford Warrant
Police report that during the investigation of a complaint at a Diamond Drive residence on the night of November 29, they learned that Louis A. Digirolamo, 39, of Bridgeport was found to have an outstanding warrant against him by Milford police on a charge of threatening. Newtown police said they turned Digirolamo over to Milford police on the charge.
Larceny Warrant
On November 28, Michael Aiello, 16, of Bethel learned that Newtown police had a warrant for his arrest on a charge of third-degree larceny and turned himself in at the police station, police said. The charge stems from an October incident, police said. Police released Aiello on a promise to appear December 7 in Danbury Superior Court.
DWI Charge
Police report they were dispatched to a Cricket Trail residence in Sandy Hook in connection with a disturbance there involving the presence of an unwanted person on the night of November 29.
Police said that en route to the home, they spotted that person driving away from the home. Police said they stopped Nicholas Valluzzo, 32, of Danbury and gave him field sobriety tests which he failed. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated and also with first-degree criminal trespassing in connection with his unwanted presence at the home.
After processing, police released Valluzzo on bond for a December 14 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Pecks Lane
Police report an accident between a town truck and a Bethel motorist about 7:45 am November 29 at the northerly intersection of Pecks Lane and South Main Street.
 Motorist Abraham E. Garcia, 27, of Bethel, who was driving a 1994 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, was southbound on South Main Street and then turned left onto Pecks Lane, but failed to keep to the right of Pecks Laneâs center line and struck a northbound 1995 Ford L-9000 town truck driven by George E. Matern, 45, of Brookfield, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Garcia for failure to drive to the right.
Route 34 Accident
Police report that as motorist Katherine A. Ryan, 17, of 100 Boggs Hill Road, was driving eastbound on Route 34 near Oakview Road about 7:20 am November 30, her view was obstructed by sun glare as she rounded a curve and she drove into the rear end of a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by Jeffrey M. Walcott, 16, of 25 Ashford Lane. There were no injuries. Police issued Ryan a written warning for following too closely.
South Main Crash
Motorist Shannon Harvey, 19, of Kent, who was driving a 1998 Dodge coupe northbound on South Main Street near Holcomb Fuel about 8:45 pm December 1, saw an animal run into the road in front of her, police said. Harvey braked, lost control of the Dodge, and ran off the road, coming to rest on a stone wall, police said. She wasnât injured, according to police.
