Glebe House

For Holidays

WOODBURY — The public is invited to tour Woodbury’s historic Glebe House Museum, decorated in old fashioned holiday splendor, on Saturday, December 6.

From 10 am until 3 pm, visitors will see vignettes of Colonial Woodbury residents preparing for the holidays by the Glebe’s young museum guides. Dressed in period costumes, docents will prepare for the holidays as was likely done over 230 years ago. A special exhibit of antique Christmas Villages, often used to decorate under the Christmas tree, will also be on display.

Mulled cider and samples of Yum Yum Bread will be served; the bread will also be available to purchase by the loaf. Gifts and decorations throughout the museum and in the Christmas shop will also be offered for sale.

The Glebe House is at 49 Hollow Road/Route 317 in Woodbury; call 263-2855 or visit TheGlebeHouse.org for additional information.
