Spagnola Earns Top-Ten Finish At World Championship Show
Oklahoma City, Okla.â Holly Spagnola of Newtown was a top ten finalist in Working Hunter with Ima Phenomenon, a 1999 Chestnut American Quarter Horse Mare, during the Bank of America Amateur competition at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show, held November 7â14.

The AQHA World Championship Show is the largest, richest single-breed world championship horse show in existence, with more than $2.7 million awarded to 3,494 entries from 48 states, eight Canadian provinces, Brazil, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, according to the Texas-based organization. To qualify for the invitational event, horses must have earned a predetermined number of points in AQHA-approved shows from August 1, 2007 to July 31, 2008.
For the fourth year, the AQHA World Championship Show will air coast-to-coast on NBC Television in a one-hour special on January 4, at 1:30 pm Eastern.
Highlights from the Bank of America and FedEx Open AQHA World Show are scheduled to air on AQHAâs weekly television show, AQHA Presents, on RFD-TV December 17 and 24. The American Quarter Horse Journal will have the results of the World Show in the January 2009 issue.
