Surviving Debt, Protecting Credit
DANBURY â The Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury wants to help individuals learn how to deal with credit card, mortgage and medical debt; learn the best practices for dealing with debt collection agencies; learn about individual credit scores and how to protect them. The agency is offering a timely workshop, presented by Elizabeth Cox, certified financial planner and member of the Financial Planners Association Connecticut Chapter Pro-Bono Committee.
The talk will be held Tuesday, December 9, from 7:30 to 9 pm, upstairs in the Community Room at the agencyâs office, 2 West Street, Danbury.
The Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children, and men annually.
The programs of the Womenâs Center are supported by state and local government, area United Way agencies and the people and businesses in the communities we serve including Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Warren, and Washington.
