To The Editor:

Each Lions Club has its unique projects. However, wherever they are located whether here in America, in Europe, Africa or Asia, they also share many things in common. Fundamental to all chapters is to live up to our motto or creed which is “We Serve”.

On election night our Newtown Lions Club was bursting with pride as it saw the election of five of its members. Among those chosen for Council are Chris Gardner and Steve Stolfi in District One and Arnie Berman in District Three. In addition, Dave Landau will be a part of Planning and Zoning and Bruce Walczak will guide the town as First Selectman. They intend to put “We Serve” in action!

It should be a wonderful year for Newtown!
