American Cancer Society Begins Annual Car Raffle
DANBURY ââ The American Cancer Society has begun its 18th annual car raffle at the Danbury Fair Mall. The raffle will continue through March 7. The car selected this year is a 2004 ocean blue Audi A4 Quattro from Danbury Audi.
With the help of the community, cancer survivors and raffle participants, the car raffle raised more than $81,000 last year and sold more than 12,000 tickets. This year, the car raffle organizers hope to sell out all 15,000 tickets to raise money for the fight against cancer.
Tickets are being sold at the Danbury Fair Mall for $10 with proceeds directly funding the American Cancer Societyâs programs of cancer research, advocacy, detection, education, and patient services. The drawing will be held at the mall on March 7 at 5 pm.
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, advocacy, education, advocacy, and service.
