Annual Christmas Concert At

This Sunday, December 7, the music ministries of St Rose of Lima Church will present their annual Christmas concert, “The Heavens Are Telling” at 4 pm in the church. The public is invited to attend.

The program, which will consist of seasonal sacred music, will feature the adult choir, consisting of approximately 60 voices, the guitar/vocal trio, and the folk group. All three groups participate in the liturgies weekly at the church.

Selections will include “Advent Promise” by Pamela Martin, “Joy in the Morning” by Natalie Sleeth, “O Holy Night” by Adolphe Adam, “Go Tell It On The Mountain” arranged by Philip Kern, as well as many other light-hearted Christmas-related compositions. MIDI arrangements of the many compositions will be presented on the church’s new Yamaha Disklavier grand piano.

Suggested donation is $5 at the door. Any proceeds from the concert will be used to defray expenses for the adult choir’s musical pilgrimage and concert tour to Italy in 2005.
