Celebrate Women Offers Free Program on Reducing Holiday Stress

FARMINGTON –– Minimizing stress and maximizing happiness during the holiday season will be the topic of a special Celebrate Women program on Tuesday, December 9, at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Jennifer Haley Vendetti of the Health Center’s department of psychiatry will explore ways to increase enjoyment of the holiday season by reducing symptoms of emotional and physical stress. The program will run from noon to 1 pm in the health center’s faculty staff dining room (use main hospital entrance).

“Holiday season activities can be triggers for stress and sadness. During the December 9 program, we’ll talk about some holistic health remedies that can be added to our shopping lists,” Ms Haley Vendetti said.

Other Celebrate Women sponsored events this month will include:

The Celebrate Menopause Group will meet on Monday, December 10, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, in the Charlotte Johnson Hollfelder Center for Women’s Health.
