Henry Bobkowski
Henry Bobkowski, 80, of Monroe, died November 26 at Danbury Hospital.
Born in Shamokin, Penn., he was a Naval veteran of World War II. Mr Bobkowski had worked at Moore Tool in Bridgeport, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Monroe Fire Department, and St Jude Parish. He was an avid hiker and outdoorsman.
Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (King) Bobkowski, he is survived by his son, Thomas Bobkowski and his wife, Anna Maria, of Newtown; a daughter Jo-Ann Caron and her husband, David, of South Windsor; four grandchildren, Neil and Steven Caron, and Matthew and Marissa Bobkowski; a great-granddaughter, Shelby Caron; and two brothers, Edwin Bobkowski of Bridgeport and John Bobkowski of Troy, Penn.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held December 1 in the Lesko-Miner Funeral Home, 155 Main St, Route 25, Monroe, and in St Jude Church. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
