SCAN To Host Alger Demonstrating Still Life In Oil
The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will host Nicole Alger demonstrating still life in oil on Wednesday, December 10, at 1:30 pm, in the lower level of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at The Flagpole).
The demonstration is open to the public and admission is free.
Alger is a graduate of The Florence Academy of Art. Her paintings and drawings have been included in juried shows with National Oil and Acrylic Painters Association (NOAPS), Five Points Gallery, Haggin Museum, Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art, and The Salmagundi Club in New York City, among others.
Thanks to Copley Society of Art, seven of her drawings were acquired in 2021 by The Langham Hotel in Boston for its permanent collection.
Alger’s figurative work and still lifes have been finalists in the international juried shows of Art Renewal Center (ARC) and The Portrait Society of Art (PSoA). She is a member of the portrait registries of Copley Society of Art and The Salmagundi Club.
