Named To CAR Board
EAST HARTFORD â Robert L. Morey of Brookfield has been named Communications/Technology Division vice president of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS®, Inc. (CAR) for the year 2000.
Mr Morey sits on CARâs Board of Directors, Member Services and Business Plan Committees. He previously served on the Legislative Political Affairs Committee and as a Trustee of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. He works with Shaker Real Estate in Ridgefield.
Mr Morey is immediate past president of the Northern Fairfield County Association of REALTORS® and has served as director and on the Grievance Committee for his local board.
Mr Morey holds his GRI (Graduate REALTORS® Institutes), CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member), and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations. Mr Morey serves his community as chairman of the Emil J. Morey Scholarship Committee and Century 21 Landmark Presidentâs Club and is a member of the YMCA Fundraising Committee.
Mr Morey makes his home in Brookfield, Connecticut with his wife, Dianne, and family. He is involved in many local charitable activities through his membership in the Brookfield Rotary Club, an organization he has served as Community Service Chair and Chief Liaison to the DATAHR house on Squire Court.
Mr Morey grew up in Bethel, Connecticut, attended Bethel schools, and graduated from Wooster (college preparatory high) School in Danbury and the University of Connecticut. He has lived in the area all his life and loves introducing it to new homeowners and businesses.
