Bad Check

Gina Juliano, 34, of 1 Fourth Park Road, Milford, turned herself in to police headquarters Tuesday after allegedly issuing a bad check at Eye Care Plus in Newtown.

She was released on a written promise to appear in court December 21.

Speeding On Elm Drive

Larry C. Logel, 49, of Gage Road, Brewster, NY, faces a handful of motor vehicle charges after being stopped for speeding on Elm Drive December 2.

In addition to traveling at excessive speed, Mr Logel was also charged with driving with a suspended license and operating an unregistered vehicle.

He was released on a written promise to appear in court December 14.

Three-Car Accident

Police responded to a minor three-car accident on Main Street Saturday. According to a report, Michelle King, 39, of 56 Main Street, Bridgewater, was driving a 1989 Mazda 323 when she struck the rear end of a stopped 1999 Pontiac Montana driven by Dennis Heldman, 61, of 8 Shadow Ridge Circle, Newtown. The collision forced Mr Heldman’s vehicle into the rear of the stopped 1999 Oldsmobile driven by Leigh Lincoln, 37, of 14 Old Never, Danbury.

The vehicle suffered only minor damage

Mrs King was issued a written warning for failure to travel at a safe distance.

 

Church Hill Road Accident

Police responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of Church Hill Road and Queen Street Saturday.

Police said Mykhaylo Tanchyn, 41, of 227 Berkshire Road, Sandy Hook, was driving a 1986 Buick Somerset east on Church Hill Road and was looking to make a left turn into Dr Henry Gellert’s office at 23 Church Hill Road. At the same time, Christopher Sullivan, 48, of 10 Walnut Tree Hill Road, Sandy Hook, was driving his 1997 Jeep Cherokee west as it approached the intersection. As Mr Sullivan attempted to enter the intersection, the two cars collided.

Mr Sullivan complained of minor pain to his rib area but refused to be transported to Danbury Hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
