A Special Season, A Special Place
To the Editor:
It’s Christmas time in Sandy Hook. Thank you to everybody who came down to Sandy Hook Village to help us kick off the holiday season at our Annual Tree lighting festivities last Saturday night!
Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity is honored to help showcase Sandy Hook Village and show people what a special place it is.
We would like to thank the town for their help and support especially the highway department for do-ing their usual great job decorating both of our Christmas Trees. We would also like to thank Gary Shipp for providing Karaoke entertainment for the evening and the Graceful Planet for sponsoring him. Of course we want to thank Santa for hanging out with us, Sandy Hook Fire and Rescue for giving him a ride and PJ’s Laundromat for organizing his visit. The live Nativity provided by Faith at Newtown was a new addition this year and very well received. Once again this year Jonathan Pope and the Middle School Chorus provided carolers for everyone to enjoy and it was greatly appreciated once again.
A very big thank you to all the volunteers who helped us decorate all of the lampposts for the season, and to place and light all of the luminaires prior to the big event. Thank you most of all to the businesses that stayed open past their normal hours and provided the kind of welcome that only Sandy Hook Village can provide.
Thank you again for everybody who came to this special event, to help us celebrate this special season in this special place, we hope you will come back often for a visit, please remember to buy local! Merry Christmas!
