WATERBURY — Ring in the millennium with laughter at Seven Angels Theatre, where comedians direct from New York City’s comedy club circuits will cause an uproar as the clock counts down to midnight on Friday, December 31.

Headlining the New Year’s Eve comedy evening will be the incorrigible Johnny Rizzo. The Hartford Courant has declared this Bridgeport native as “the funniest man in Connecticut.” This king of the comedy club circuit takes humor and quirkiness to an extreme that once combined with his hilarious self-depreciating pushes his audiences over the edge.

Comedian Pat Candaras also appears on the Seven Angels stage with her own brand of comic wit. Ms Candaras is the star of New York Women Talking Dirty and has appeared numerous times at Rich Forum in Stamford.

Cabaret singer Cindy Marchionda will croon and sway as she treats the Seven Angels audience to her own blend of cabaret songs. Ms Marchionda’s dynamic stage presence has developed from her many accomplishments as and actress, singer and dancer. She has appeared on Broadway as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, at the Paramount Theater at Madison Square Garden and has toured nationally with the New York City Ballet in its production of The West Side Story Suite.

The ticket price for the early show at 6:30 pm is $37.50. Tickets for the late show at 9:30 pm are $60, which includes a champagne reception and on-stage dancing.

Seven Angels Theater is in the historic Hamilton Park Pavilion on Plank Road in Waterbury; take Exit 25 off I-84. Parking is free. Call the box office at 203/757-4676 for more information.
