Jerome D.       Gregoire

Vice President With Rayonier, Inc

Jerome “Jerry” D. Gregoire, 75, died from cancer November 30 at his home in Tonto Verde, Ariz. Mr Gregoire was born July 25, 1931, in Marshall, Minn.  He grew up in Portland, Ore.

 He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol, of Tonto Verde; four children, Mark Gregoire of Newtown, Jan Coughlan of Port Jefferson, N.Y., Denise O’Hearn of Wilton, and Joe Gregoire of Warwick, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.

Mr Gregoire was a graduate of the University of Portland and the Harvard Graduate School of Business. His entire business career was with Rayonier Inc, where he was a vice president. While with Rayonier he was actively involved with the America Forest Institute and the National Forest Products Association, serving as chairman of several industry committees.

Mr Gregoire retired from Rayonier in 1991 after 36 years and moved from Wilton to Tonto Verde in 1996, where he became active in church and charitable work.

A memorial service was held on December 4 at St Dominic’s Church in Rio Verde, followed by a Celebration of Life reception.
