Erdal and Kristie (O’Dell) Genc of Sandy Hook announce the birth of a son, Taner Ridvan Genc, on October 30 at Danbury Hospital.

Taner weighed eight pounds, four ounces, and he was 22 inches in length.

His paternal grandparents are Mr and Mrs Celal Genc of Istanbul, Turkey.

His maternal grandparents are Allen O’Dell of Brookfield, and Bunny and John Cash of Hawleyville. Great-grandparents are Clifford and Sally O’Dell of Sebastian, Fla.

Great-great-grandmother is Rebecca Oberg of Newtown.

Michael and Suzanne (Dows) Duffy of East Flat Hill Road, Southbury, formerly of Newtown, announce the birth of a daughter, Shaelinn Mary Duffy, on November 11 at Danbury Hospital.

Shaelinn joins three sisters, Jade, 11, Kaylee, 10, and Emma 2.

Mr Duffy graduated from Newtown High School with the Class of 1988, and Mrs Duffy graduated from Newtown High School with the Class of 1990.

Curt and Tracy Anderson of Glastonbury announce the birth of a son, Matthew Curt Anderson, on November 19 at Hartford Hospital.

He weighed nine pounds, four ounces and he was 23 inches long.

He joins his siblings Kelsey, 7, and Lindsey, 3½.
