A Tide Of Toys For Tots
A Tide Of Toys For Tots
To The Editor,
We could not have imagined the generosity by the families in the Newtown area when Curtiss and Crandon Realtors volunteered to be a collection point for the Toys for Tots gift program. Though we were told to expect lots of toys, we had no idea of the magnitude. Our office is overflowing, and we have been rewarded with the true meaning of Christmas. The vans that arrive every three to five days are unable to take everything on each trip, and the toys just keep coming.
On behalf of Curtiss and Crandon, I would like to thank everyone who has taken time from their busy holiday schedules to shop and deliver these toys. We especially want to thank the fourth graders at Hawley school who donated toys in lieu of gifts to their teachers this year and to all the students at the middle school. Your generosity has its rewards. You have given joy to the holiday season and happiness to the children who will receive these gifts.
Thank you all, and we will see you again next year as we will happily and eagerly participate in this wonderful program. Happy Holidays.
Sincerely,
John F. Klopfenstein,
President
