Eclipse & Friends Performed Benefit Concert In Front Of Capacity Crowd

Eclipse and Friends performed their second annual Christmas concert to a sold out audience at Newtown Meeting House on December 15. This reunion concert was organized to benefit the Alzheimer’s Disease Fund.

The audience was entertained by a variety of holiday standards and a blend of Celtic and Elizabethan traditional carols, in addition to original pieces written and arranged by Eclipse.

Joining the ensemble this year was flutist Richard Wyton. Special guests included local favorite John Gould, Michelle Lafreniere, Douglas Jancewicz a storyteller and a DJ at WPKN, with Maurice Zetena III as master of ceremonies.

Bagpiper Charly Slagle III, with a moving rendition of “Auld Lang Syne,” highlighted the finale.

A wine and cheese reception followed.
