Snapshot: Michelle Pandiscia
Family: Myself and my husband.
How did you meet your husband? Funny story: my best friend took him to our senior prom in high school, as friends. That’s how we met.
Work: I work at Reverie. I have been doing marketing for four years and also bartending for two years. I also do a couple other things out in the wild.
What did you want to be when you grew up? When I was really little I wanted to be a doctor, but then I realized I hated blood and I was super squeamish, so that was quickly a No. In high school I wanted to be a journalist or a sports broadcaster.
Favorite actor? I really like Sam Heughan, from Outlander.
Favorite TV show? Right now my husband and I are binge watching The Big Bang Theory.
Who or what has been the greatest influence on your life? This is going to sound weird but honestly, COVID. I got furloughed and let go from my corporate job and that’s kind of how I found myself here, and I love it here. I wouldn’t change it.
Do you have any unusual or surprising talents? I have kind of a photographic memory, which helped me a lot through school.
What is something you cannot live without? I can’t live without books, either physical books or my Kindle.
What is the most recent book you’ve read? First Lie Wins, which is a really fun psychological thriller.
Favorite author? I have a bunch, but one of my favorites is Jodi Picoult. I love her stuff, and Sarah J. Maas.
What is your favorite thing about Newtown? I love the community. Our regulars who come in here, a lot of them live in town and they’re just so great. They support this place, and the bartenders here, and they’ve really become some great friends.
Do you have a personal credo? Everything happens for a reason.
