Milton H. Miller, MD

Milton H. Miller, MD, 87, of East Hill Woods, formerly of New York City, husband of Regina (Goldman) Miller, died December 26 at the East Hill Woods Health Care Center.

Dr Miller was born June 18, 1912 in New York City, son of the late Jacob and Frieda (Weinstein) Miller. Dr Miller attended NYU and graduated from the Long Island College of Medicine in 1934. He practiced medicine until 1974, retiring to Heritage Village. While in the village, he was a member and past president of the Civic Association and the Democratic Club. An avid tennis player, he spent much of his time giving lessons to fellow villagers.

Dr Miller was a veteran of World War II. A captain with the Third Army Engineers, he took part in the landing at Normandy and was at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Anti-Defamation League.

Besides his wife of 63 years, he is survived by a son, Andrew James Miller of Old Greenwich; a daughter, Nancy Davis of Montclair, N.J.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

There were no services.

The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North, Route 6, was in charge of arrangements.
