Blood Is In

Short Supply

As with most holiday periods, Christmas and New Year’s have left the American Red Cross with a diminished blood supply. Many volunteers were on vacation during the holiday period and collections were low.

Newtown will do its part to restore an adequate blood supply when a blood drive is held at Trinity Church on Main Street from 1:30 t 6:45 pm on Monday, January 10.

Donors must be 17 years of age or older, weigh 110 pounds or more, and must be in good health. When you donate blood, the American Red Cross types your blood and will let you know your blood type within a few weeks.
