Project Feeder Watch

SOUTHBURY — Project Feeder Watch is an important citizen science project available to anyone with a bird feeder. Volunteers simply count the number of individual birds of each species that visit their bird feeder from November through March.

The Bent of the River Audubon Center is offering free introductory training workshops for those interested in participating in Project Feeder Watch. The workshops will be conducted on Wednesday, January 5, and Tuesday, January 18. Each workshop will begin at 1 pm.

The workshops are open to all ages. Pre-registration is requested; call 264-5098.

Bent of the River is at 185 East Flat Hill Road, in the South Britain section of Southbury off Route 172.
