Raymond M. Vicchiolla

Raymond Michael Vicchiolla, husband of Patricia (Guenette) Vicchiolla of Bridgeport, died December 13 in the Milford Health Care Center, Milford, following a long illness.

He was the brother of Laura Shortt of Newtown.

Born in Bridgeport on September 24, 1924, he was the son of the late Michael and Eva (Weaver) Vicchiolla. Mr Vicchiolla was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a truck driver for the Sikorsky Aircraft Company of Stratford until the time of his illness in 1995.

Besides his wife and sister, he is survived by brothers, John Vicchiolla of Fairfield, Arthur and Ronald Vicchiolla, both of Trumbull and Robert Vicchiolla of Naugatuck; a stepson, Thomas Grady, Jr and a step-grandson, Spencer Grady, both of Bridgeport; and 20 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Vicchiolla, and a sister, Lucille Vicchiolla.

Funeral services were private.

The Spadaccino Funeral Home, 499 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport was in charge of arrangements.
