The History, Science &

Humor Of Maple Syrup

WOODBURY — A New England tradition continues at Flanders Nature Center’s Sap House this month as volunteers collect and cook sap from maple trees down into syrup.

The public is invited to learn the history, science and humor of maple syrup production at the Sap House on Cowles Road (off Flanders Road) each Saturday and Sunday through March 18, 2 to 4 pm each day.

Flanders maple syrup and other maple products will be available for purchase at the Sap House on the weekends, and in the studio/main office during the week. Reservations are not required to visit the Sap House and there is no admission fee.

For additional information or specially arranged group educational programs tailored to the interests and age level of a specific group, call the nature center at 203/263-3711.
