Drug Guide
ROCKY HILL â One in five Americans (46 million) has doctor-diagnosed arthritis and related conditions. Many of them become overwhelmed by the myriad of medications available to treat the more than 100 forms of arthritis, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile arthritis, according to the Arthritis Foundation.Â
Arthritis Today, the consumer health and lifestyle magazine published by the Arthritis Foundation, offers the 2007 Drug Guide, a free comprehensive reference to help people make informed decisions in dealing with the pain of arthritis. The 2007 Drug Guide will appear in the January-February, 20th anniversary issue, of Arthritis Today.
âThe guide was prepared with the help of top rheumatologists and researchers and can help consumers communicate more effectively with their doctors about the best available options for their personal treatment plan,â said Sue Nesci, chief public health & policy officer of the Northern and Southern New England Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
