Alfred J. Samson, 77, of Fort Pierce, Fla., formerly of Huntington, died at his home July 4 after a long illness.
Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Samson of Fort Pierce; sons Charles Samson and his wife, Doris, of Newtown, Michael Samson of Huntington, and John Samson and his wife, Debra, of Beacon Falls; daughter Joyce Toth and her husband, John, of Las Cruces, N.M.; grandchildren, Angela Moffat and her husband, Steve, John J. Samson and his wife, Gina, Justin Samson, Orion Samson, Zachary Samson, Jonathan Toth, Rebecca Samson, Jennifer Samson, and Christopher Samson; great-grandchildren, Gavin Moffat, Aidan Moffat, and Brody Samson; and brother, Richard Samson of Hollywood, Fla.; as well as nieces and nephews.
Born in Bridgeport, Mr Samson moved to Fort Pierce after retiring from DâAddario Services in 1985. He was a member of Connecticut Teamster Local #191. Mr Samson enjoyed his family, square dancing, bowling, RVing, and loved working around his home.
 A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 12, at 9:30 am at Riverview Cemetery, Fort Pierce, Fla., for family and friends. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Yates Funeral Home and Crematory.
