To the Editor:

Methinks William Sheluck suffers from Ross Perot CEO Syndrome.

This is a nasty malady that afflicts power-crazed CEOs who forget little things like dealing with elected state and local officials, department heads, and common sense.

In the local daily on October 24, William was quoted thusly: “Sheluck said the town needs to demand that the state find a solution to Route 25 traffic woes.” (It would be fun to see how William’s demand is greeted by the current administration in Hartford.)

Perhaps William Sheluck shouldn’t be faulted, because he’s been in town only seven years. I prefer to leave Newtown’s government under the steady, proven, experienced leadership of Mr Rosenthal.
