Police report a two-truck accident secondary to another accident at about 4:15 pm October 28 on South Main Street.
Motorist Macedo Ildebrando, 44, of Brookfield was driving a 2001 Ford pickup truck northward and was approaching the scene of a previous accident, police said.
At that time, motorist Peter Mould, 61, of Milford was driving a 2000 Dodge pickup truck southward and approaching the same accident scene, police said.
The Ford traveled over the roadâs centerline and the two trucksâ left exterior rear-view mirrors collided with one another, police said. There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Ildebrando for making a restricted turn.
Evading Responsibility
On the night of November 8, police served a warrant against Frank Bogdanyi, 50, of Oxford, charging him with evading responsibility in connection with a motor vehicle accident on June 9.
In that accident, Bogdanyi, who was driving a pickup truck, allegedly collided with another motorist who was driving a sedan, and then sped off from the scene, police said. The accident occurred on a wet night at the southern intersection of Peckâs Lane and South Main Street.
Police released Bogdanyi on $10,000 bail for a November 21 court appearance.
Three Charges
Motorist Steven Smith, 39, of Bridgeport was driving a 1983 Mercedes-Benz sedan northward on South Main Street, near Greenbriar Lane, about 12:04 am November 9, when he lost control of the vehicle on a curve and collided with a utility pole, police said.
Smith was not injured. Police arrested him on charges of driving while under suspension, driving without automotive insurance, and failure to drive to the right on a curve.
Smith was released on a written promise to appear in court November 28.
