NEWTOWN GREEN 14, ASPETUCK 3: Newtown scored nine first-inning runs to defeat a short-handed, but previously unbeaten (7-0) Aspetuck team. Rich Temple was 4-for-5 and Alex Dolan was 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBI to spark the offensive explosion. Colin Cieniewa, Bryan Fogelstrom, Dolan and Seth Hull all combined on the mound. Catcher Temple made a nice throw to catch a runner attempting to steal and Matt Brayton made a nice play at second to lead the defense.

NEWTOWN INVADERS 5, BETHEL 4: Stefan Toi had two hits and two RBI, scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth inning, and pitched four shutout innings with 10 strikeouts to lead the Invaders. Kevin Bonacci, Mike Whitley-Rodriguez and Pete Wlasuk made solid plays in the field.
INVADERS 6, BETHEL 5: John Aminti collected a pair of hits â including a double â to lead the Invaders to the win. Drew Woods drove in a pair of runs and Collin Babbage had a double to spark the offense. Kevin Bonacci, Bobb Davenport and Ian Mason all combined to pitched a strong game while Michael Whitley-Rodriguez, Jim Zarifis and Brian Murphy were solid in the field.
INVADERS 6, MIDDLEBURY 6: Newtown rallied from a five-run deficit to tie the game. Pete Wlasuk, Ian Mason and Drew Woods led the offense as Bobby Davenport (a great catch in leftfield) and Mike Notaro paced the defense. Chris Marks pitched five strong innings and whiffed 11 batters.

NEWTOWN 9, BETHEL 9: George Zaruba hit for the cycle to lead a come-from-behind rally that enabled Newtown to ensure a tie. Kyle Kromberg homered. Kevin Leibold, Conor Carmen and Nate Crevier sparked the defense.
