Until Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 13), Macaroni Kid is offering a $25 Lord & Taylor gift card with a purchase of a ticket to Womanologie: The Art and Style of Being a Woman. The special event will be Friday, June 8, at Capellaro’s Grove, 42 Vail Road in Bethel.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a mom, a grandmother or single, life can be overwhelming at times. Every once in a while it’s good to give yourself a break and let loose with your gal pals,” said Lisa Agresta, editor and publisher of Macaroni Kid Newtown-Monroe-Trumbull-Easton-Shelton-Ansonia and Derby. “Macaroni Kid is not only [an] informational source of local events for kids and families, it is now your source for a little ‘Me’ time.”

Women of all ages are invited to escape from everyday life and spend an evening relaxing and pampering themselves. A Vendor Gallery will feature merchants showcasing the latest trends and home products. Some vendors will be offering free interactive elements at their booth including, chair massages, a waxing station and even a photo booth.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to sell their unwanted gold or silver to Party of Gold. Vendors have each donated raffle prizes, including items from Tastefully Simple, Celadon Road, PartyLite, Thirty-One Gifts, Ridgefield Tennis Club, Park Lane Jewelry, CT Kids Closet, Arbonne, and Soap by Judy, among others. Each paid admission ticket will receive a free raffle ticket to enter to win one of the fabulous prizes.

Relax with a glass of wine and hors d’oeuvres while listening to keynote presenter Patty Lennon, CEO and founder of Mom Gets a Life. A mom advocate, coach, writer and speaker, Ms Lennon believes in the power of intuition, taking action and a world where woman can be successful mothers and successful individuals at the same time.

Personal stylist and Connecticut native with a cosmopolitan streak, Allison McConnell (Analogue Chic fashion blog) will also be a guest speaker.

The evening will also consist of a silent auction with an African Photo Safari.

Tickets are $15 if purchased in advance online at www.womanologiect.com. The $25 Lord & Taylor gift card will be saved under the purchaser’s name and will be available to pick up at the door the night of the event. (The gift certificate is being offered to the first 100 people who reserve tickets by Mother’s Day.)

Tickets will be $20 at the door.
