DUI Charge

Police said that at about 9:18 pm on March 10, they stopped motorist Aleta Osborne, 42, of Trumbull on Mt Pleasant Road for making a traffic violation.

Police said that after investigating, they charged Osborne with driving under the influence and with failure to drive to the right.

Following arrest processing, police released Osborne on $100 bail for a March 24 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Mercedes Vs Pole

Police report that a motorist was driving a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 380 sedan northward on South Main Street, just north of Ricky’s Shopping Plaza, about 12:05 am March 7, when the auto went off the right side of the street and struck a utility pole.

Witnesses told police that the driver then left the scene on foot, heading southward on South Main Street.

Police, who are investigating the incident, said the vehicle is owned by a Sandy Hook man. Police ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 426-5841.

Sports Car

Motorist John Gonda, 57, of Bethel was driving a 2000 Honda S-2000 sports car westward on Dodgingtown Road, near its intersection with Karen Boulevard, about 3:17 am March 7, when the auto went off the right side of the road and collided with a utility pole, police said.

Gonda was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, police said. Police issued him an infraction for making a restricted turn.
