DUI Charge
Police report that while on patrol about 1:48 am on January 19, they spotted motorist Firmino Miguel, 41, of Bridgeport in a vehicle that was parked in the northbound travel lane of South Main Street, near its intersection with Mile Hill Road, so they stopped to investigate.
Police said they charged Miguel with driving under the influence. Police released Miguel on $100 bail for a February 2 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Three Violations
Police said that at about 8:31 pm on January 13, they stopped motorist Davila Magali, 44, of Bridgeport because the vehicle that Magali was driving near 30 South Main Street had defective brake lamps.
After investigating, police charged Magali with failure to have functioning tail lamps, driving with a suspended vehicle registration, and driving without automotive insurance.
Magali was released on a written promise to appear in court on January 27.
Berkshire Road
At about 5:40 pm on January 18, motorist Mihai Caratas, 42, of 3 Yogananda Street, who was driving a 2011 BMW 3-series sedan on Berkshire Road near its intersection with Wasserman Way, stopped for traffic conditions, after which the BMW was struck from behind by motorist Priscilla Jones, 48, of 5 Meadow Road, who was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry sedan, according to police.
There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Jones for following too closely.
