Frank M. Bohacs

Longtime Greenwich Resident

Frank M. Bohacs, 95, of Jupiter, Fla., formerly of Greenwich died January 15, at the Hospice Unit of the Jupiter Pavilion in Florida. He was born in Greenwich, November 12, 1916, the son of Barbara (Dudas) and Joseph Bohacs. Mr Bohacs maintained a residence in Greenwich into his late eighties.

Predeceased by his first wife Rose (Evanko) Bohacs and a daughter, Patricia Style, he leaves behind two daughters, including Kathleen Reda of Newtown; his beloved wife, Ruth; her four children; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Julius Bohacs; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr Bohacs was a fixture at Manero’s Steak House in Greenwich and later Giovanni’s, until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and had a wonderful vegetable garden. An avid golfer he was a twice a Connecticut Medalist. He was a member of the Jupiter Golf Club at Indian Creek.

Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, January 19, between 4 and 8 pm, at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich. A Mass of Christian burial was scheduled at St Mary’s Church on Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, Friday, January 20, at 11 am.
