Foliage Hike

SOUTHBURY — Lillinonah Audubon Society is planning a hike to view the foliage on Sachem’s Ridge, the newly acquired property of Bent of the River Nature Center, on Saturday, October 20.

John Longstreth, the director of the center, will lead the hike up to and around the 92-acre area, with its handsome stands of trees and varied landscapes. The hike will cover four to five miles and last about 3½  hours. There is some rough up-and-down terrain, so participates should wear sturdy shoes; bring binoculars if desired. The group will meet at the Bent of the River Audubon Center, 195 Flat Hill Rd in So. Britain, at 9 am.
