Ages 3-5; 10 to 11 am or 12 to 1 pm. Explore the outdoors in the sanctuary and learn about our native trees and plants. Create your own FUNctional, all-natural craft to take home. Series I: Mondays, September11, through October 16; Series II Mondays, October 23, through November 27. Six program series: $54 for Connecticut Audubon Society (CAS) members, $66 non-members. Individual class: $10 CAS members, $12 non-members.
Fall Fantasy
Pre-K (ages 3-5): 10 to 11:30 am or 1:30 to 3 pm; K-2nd grade (ages 5-7) 4 to 5:30 pm. Discover exciting things about the people, animals, and birds of New England. Observe the seasonal changes in our sanctuary and watch nature prepare for winter. How do they do it? Series I: Tuesdays, September 12 through October 24; Series II: Tuesdays, October 31 through December 12. Seven program series: $63 CAS members, $77 non-members. Individual class: $10 CAS members, $12 non-members.
Native American Nature
Pre-K (ages 3-5): 10 to 11:30 am or 1:30 to 3 pm; K-3nd grade (ages 5-7): 4 to 5:30 pm. Learn about the daily lives of Native Americans and how they lived, worked, and played. Create your own Native American toys, games, and learn new stories, too. Series I: Wednesdays, September 14 through October 25; Series II: Wednesdays, November 1 through December 13. Seven program series: $63 CAS members, $77 non-members. Individual class, $10 CAS members, $12 non-members.
Junior Geographers
Pre-K (ages 3-5); 10 to 11:30 am or 1:30 to 3 pm; K-2nd grade (ages 5-7); 4 to 5:30 pm. Did you know that baby birds know how to navigate by the stars when they are only 15 days old? Map your room and learn how to track wild animals in our sanctuary. Series I: Maps: Thursdays, September 14 through October 5; Series II: Orienteering: Thursdays, October 12 through November 2; Series III: Tracking and Exploring: Thursdays, November 9 through December 7 (no class November 23). Per series: $36 CAS members, $44 non-members. Individual class, $10 CAS members, $12 non-members.
Small Adventures Story Hour
Ages 2 and 3 accompanied by an adult; 10 to 11 am. Designed just for your child and you! Discover the little things in nature as you listen to a story, create a special craft for little hands, and take a walk in our vest-pocket sanctuary. Series I Wednesdays, September 13 through October 18; Series II Wednesdays, October 25 through November 29. Six programs series: $54 CAS members, $66 non-members. Individual class, $10 CAS members, $12 non-members.
Family Fridays
Ages 2-5 accompanied by an adult, 10 to 11 am or 12 to 1 pm or 2 to 3 pm. Show mom and dad your stuff during this special story hour with a nature-themed craft program. Join our educator in this animated hour of family time just for you and your child. Series I: Fridays, September 15 through October 20; Series II: Fridays, October 27 through December 1. Six-program series: $54 CAS members, $66 non-members. Individual class: $10 CAS members, $12 non-members.
Saturday Discovery Series
Ages 3 and up, 11 am to noon. Four program series: $36 CAS members, $44 non-members; individual class: $10 CAS members, $12 non-members.
Fall Flyers

Museum Voyages
 Saturday, October 14. Join us on a journey of discovery in honor of Columbus Day. Learn about native New England wildlife as you travel through our galleries in search of animals that might have greeted Columbus.
Thanksgiving Naturally!
Saturday, November 18. Celebrate and discover the natural history of Thanksgiving dinner. Find out where some of your favorite dishes come from and which ones are right in your backyard.
More Night Than Light
 Saturday, December 16. Discover the wintertime secrets of the plants and animals around us and in our sanctuary as we take an up-close look at winter activities in the natural world.
