Birds And Wildlife Program At Tarrywile

DANBURY — On Saturday, June 24, Lillinonah Audubon Society has scheduled a trip to Tarrywile Park. Participants can catch up with the group in Southbury and ride to the park together, or plan to meet them right at the park.

The tour will be lead by birder Rick Martin, and will cover several miles as the group seeks out birds and other wildlife. The park is an extensive one, with a wide variety of habitats.

Beginning birders are welcome, as is the public. It is suggested that participants bring binoculars, appropriate field guides, walking shoes, water, and a snack.

The group will meet at the park at 70 Southern Boulevard, at 8 am sharp, or at Exit 14 of I-84 in Southbury at 7:30 am.
