Golfers Fall To Barlow

Newtown High School’s golf team lost a pair of matches this week, falling twice to Joel Barlow of Redding — at Redding Country Club on May 3 after a match at its home digs at Rock Ridge Country Club the day before. NHS fell to 4-7.

At the par 36 Redding Country Club, Newtown shot a 178 to Barlow’s 171. Newtown was led by Abbey Doski with a 42. Chris Erikson shot a 44, and Brian LeBlanc and Vivek Tedla both shot a 46.

At the par 35 Rock Ridge course, Newtown shot a 176 and Barlow shot a 152. LeBlanc had a 43, Tedla and Erikson each shot a 44, and Rob Marona shot a 45.
