The NHS boys’ swimming and diving team hosted Pomperaug of Southbury on Tuesday, and lost 101-77. Mike Lally earned second place in the 500-yard freestyle event, finishing in a time of 5:41.82, and Seth Barrett earned a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke, in 1:09.93.

The boys’ basketball team was scheduled to host Norwich Free Academy on Wednesday (after The Bee sports section went to press), and will visit Kolbe Cathedral in Bridgeport on Friday, January 20 at 7 pm. The girls’ cagers will host Kolbe on Friday, at 7 pm. The girls will also be home on Tuesday, January 24 when they host Notre Dame-Fairfield at 7 pm.
