Lions Plan SightSaver Day

On April 24

The Newtown Lions will be shaking their cans at Dunkin Donuts and Lexington Gardens on Saturday, April 24, to collect for the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation (CLERF).

All the Connecticut Lions Clubs in the state contribute to, or are involved in, many different charities but the organization’s primary goal is eyesight. The Lions’ keyword is “sightfirst.”

CLERF offices are located at Yale University, where research is ongoing to eliminate many eye-related diseases worldwide.

The Lions Club sponsors a wide range of civic and charitable projects in Newtown.
