Thanks Neighbors!
Thanks Neighbors!
To the Editor:
There are so many âFood Samaritansâ in Newtown who offered help last Friday, March 9, when I was stuck in a snow bank on Great Ring Road, at the top of Arrowhead. Many thanks to the two fellows, the truck driver and Michael from Chestnut Hill, who tried unsuccessfully to push me out, the gal who walked up Arrowhead to see if I had a car phone, also the many drivers who stopped and, of course, Dan Amaral who towed and shoveled me out, not once, but twice.
Newtown is no longer the small town we moved to over 40 years ago, but it had not lost its neighborly attitude. Thank you neighbors.
Gratefully,
Helen Herbold
