Newtown Lions Club invites residents of all ages to join its members for an American Red Cross blood drive on Monday, May 14.

The club is hosting the blood drive in the Great Room of Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street. It will run from 8:30 am until 6:15 pm and as always, appointments can be made but walk-in donors will also be welcomed.

Donors need to be at least 18 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in generally good health.

As an added bonus, the Red Cross has teamed up with Burger King so that during the month of May all donors will receive a coupon for a free small Whopper Combo Meal or a garden fresh salad.
