ALLENTOWN, PENN. â The Allentown Museum of Art will present the program, âArt After Hours: Picture Thisâ¦â on Thursday, March 13, from 5:30 to 8 pm, in conjunction with the exhibition, âMemphis Blues: Photographs by Ernest C. Withers.â
Elvis, B.B. King, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles and James Brown are in the house. Candid insider photographs by Ernest C. Withers, considered one of Americaâs most important photographers, set the stage for a stroll down memory lane to a time when Memphis was a Mecca for the jazz and blues scene.
