Eileen E. Peyton, 54, wife of William Peyton of Russett Road, Sandy Hook, died October 8 in Danbury Hospital after fighting cancer for three and one-half years.
Mrs Peyton was born in Huntington, L.I., N.Y., on March 2, 1949, the daughter of Gerald and Vera Semrad. She met her husband of 32 years in Baltimore, Md., where she began raising their family before returning to the New York area.
She had a brief career as a teacher of chairside dentistry at the University of Maryland Dental School. She worked with several dentists as a chairside assistant prior to becoming a full-time devoted mother to her three children.
Mrs Peytonâs greatest legacy was being a loving and caring mother and wife. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Eileen will be remembered for her kind and generous charisma, always putting others and their needs before herself. She was a true and dear friend who touched many lives.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her three children, Christopher, Colleen, and Matthew; and a brother, Brian Semrad of Ormond Beach, Fla.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 11, at 9:30 am, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will be in St Rose Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, October 10, from 6 to 9 pm.
