Government Derives Its Power From God
Government Derives Its Power
From God
To the Editor:
Barack Obama wants to be president again. Mr Obama is a devout liberal and a nominal Christian. President Obama, a Democrat, believes that government is the solution to human problems and that God should only be called upon where there are no other options. Mr Obama fervently believes that God and government must be separate.
Mr Obamaâs creed is that government derives its power from âthe consent of the governed.â Jesus of Nazareth, also known as the Son of God, did not affirm this tenet. On a Friday that Christians call good, Jesus categorically declared to a Roman politician named Pontius Pilate that, âYou would have no power over me if it wasnât given to you from above.â Jesus was making it very clear that secular rulers and their representatives derive their authority to govern from God. Therefore, the principle that the power to govern comes from the âconsent of the governedâ is morally, theologically, and ultimately wrong.
The American governed population believes that abortion should be legal. Americans ignore the fact that the true source of governmental authority, God, as Jesus pointed out, rejects abortion as declared by his commandment: âYou shall not kill.â
Mr Obama is an apostate heretic and so are his followers asserts this former Catholic seminarian. Pray the Rosary.
