Water Festival At Indian Well State Park
SHELTON â Bring the family and friends and enjoy the end of summer at Make A Splash, an outdoor water festival to be held Saturday, September 23, from 9 am to 3 pm, at Indian Well State Park.
Activities will bring attention to the importance of a clean water source and safe use of water for recreation and personal use. Attendees can test themselves on boating safety, travel as a drop of water to locations in the water cycle, learn how much water humans use and how to conserve it, and ways to measure the health of water. Girl Scouts can earn a badge simply by participating. Boy Scouts working on water quality or environmental studies badges also have qualifying activities. All ages are invited to take part in all or some of the activities. To register groups or for more information call l734-2513 between 9 am and 4:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
Indian Well State Park is on Howe Avenue (Route 110). The festival is being presented by Kellogg Environmental Center.
