The Thanksgiving Basket Project

The following letter to Sue Rubino and Denise Tramposch, co-presidents of Women Involved in Newtown, has been received for publication.

Dear Sue and Denise:

Every year we try to find the words to express how thankful we are for all the work you do on your Thanksgiving Basket project. Your hardworking members contribute an inordinate amount of time and effort to make the Friday before Thanksgiving a successful distribution day to many Newtown families.

Please extend our gratitude to your co-chairs Mandy Monaco and Cyndy DaSilva as well as the other members of WIN and other volunteers who participated in this project. Though the finale is such a labor-intensive day, it is made easier by the members of your organization who give so much of themselves.

We hope you realize what a pleasure it is to work with a group such as yours. We’ll see you next year!
