Emily J. (Decker) Humiston, 83, of Watertown, died on July 12 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Howard M. Humiston, and the mother of Patricia O’Keefe of Newtown.

Mrs Humiston was born in Sheffield, Mass., January 18, 1925, a daughter of John Decker and Josephine (Rannoia) (Decker) Strattman. She was a longtime resident of Watertown and a member of First Congregational Church.

She retired from Timex Corp after many years of service.

In addition to her daughter Patricia and son-in-law Bill of Newtown, Mrs Humiston leaves another daughter, Linda Hennessy and her husband Dave of Watertown; a sister, Lucy Hankey of Mill River, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were on July 16 at Kickcox Funeral Home, Watertown. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery, on North Street.
