Kerry Supporters Need To Confess
Kerry Supporters Need To Confess
To the Editor:
This writer is a former Roman Catholic seminarian. I studied for the Catholic priesthood at Cathedral College in Brooklyn, N.Y., and at the seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, N.Y. I left the seminary prior to ordination. My spiritual orientation is Franciscan.
During the past election, legions of Roman Catholics voted for John Kerry, a zealous proponent of abortion rights. The Sunday following the election, these Catholics participated in the sacred sacrifice of the mass and received holy communion which Catholic theology defines as the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ. These Catholics committed a sacrilege when they received holy communion because their immortal souls were stained by mortal sin as they were direct accomplices to the desecration of the holy and infallible fifth commandment: âYou shall not killâ by their support of abortion rights activist John Kerry, a Roman Catholic.
These Catholics have a moral and spiritual obligation to the salvation of their souls to confess these two mortal sins in order to procure absolution. These sinful Catholics absolutely should not receive holy communion until their mortal sins are absolved. Neither should the priest receive communion if he has supported John Kerry, an apostate heretic. Authentic Christians, continue to pray the rosary daily to end legal abortion.
